Hydrogenated Polyisobutenes: Works as an emollient and waterproofing agent to improve the appearance of the skin and improve the longevity of skincare products on the skin. It is a synthetic substance that is vegan & gluten-free.
Octyl Palmitate: A derivative of palm oil, used for an organic replacement for silicone.
Nylon-12: Polymers not absorbed through the skin; due to the poor absorption of polymers, there is not a concern for human health after exposure to polymers when they are used in cosmetics and personal care products (Source). The EWG rates Nylon-12 as 99% safe and it is FDA approved.
Microcrystalline Wax: Made up of fine crystals. There is no concern for human health when used in cosmetics.
Decyl Oleate: Primarily used as a lubricant. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel has assessed this ingredient as non-toxic and non-irritating, thus determining it as safe to use in cosmetic products.
Rosa Canina: Rose Hip Seed Oil
BHA: Organic carboxylic acids that work on skin’s surface and deep inside the pore. Users of BHAs will reap the skin-calming properties of the acid (it gets bonus points for being gentle enough for sensitive skin types, including those prone to redness or rosacea).
